Bandjuldjul has painted the yam called Barrtji, which grows at small jungle place in the Gangarl clan estate called M-bambilamiya and Guburradjirrawa near the outstation Miwirnbi.

The Gangarl clan is part of the Murrungun reginal group of djuwingi clans. The Murrungun group all share the same mythological ancestor figure called Mukarr. The different clans have distinct identities, but at particular times, much as during ceremonies, the different clans all come together as whole, and identify as one group, Murrungun. It is said that Mukarr stopped in the Miwirnbi area and was Hungary. He dug up the Barrtji yam and ate it there. For this reason, Barrtji is a mark of identity for members of the Gangarl clan.
