This work depicts country at Dilebang and Milmingkan, important sites on the Kurulk clan estate. Dilebang is a duwa moiety place that has djang, sacred power and ancestral essence. The rocky outcrops at the site contain djulng, the sacred bones of the ancestors. There were once many people living at Dilebang. There is also a sacred site near the billabong at Milmingkan where Ngalyod, the Rainbow Serpent pierced the ground. Ngalyod watches over that place. Noah Wurrkidj lives between Milmilngkan outstation and Maningrida community and, like his father, this country is the source of inspiration for much of his art.
